The February 16 episode of Living Consciously focuses on the Millennial generation and how it approaches love. This generation has a much greater choice of potential dates, lovers, and relationships because of dating sites, but that it has also engendered “grass is greener” syndrome that makes it harder to choose a partner when it seems that a better one might come along. We spoke about how it is healthy to not expect a partner to fill all of your needs, but to develop yourself and other emotional outlets, such as confiding in girlfriend. It is important not to expect the romantic high when living with a real person who might sometimes be grumpy or need downtime. We talk about contemporary versions of fairy tales in which the heroine is much more empowered and sometimes the prince is less than charming.
